The Power of a Legacy Video
While traditional estate planning can be effective in helping you pass your wealth onto the next generation, a legacy video is a methodology for sharing your personal history and philosophies. A quality video can capture your life story – your beliefs, experiences and the essence of who you are. These video histories are a gift to your family and friends. They are a way for you to preserve the hopes, dreams, values and expectations that you wish to include as part of the legacy that you leave behind. Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America recently conducted a survey that found that 48% of their baby boomer respondents believed that leaving a legacy of family stories, traditions and values was actually more important than a financial inheritance.
The Legacy Video Process
PRELIMINARY LEGACY VIDEO QUESTIONS SENT
The insight and impact a legacy video ultimately has
hinges on the quality of the questions asked. We choose our questions carefully and send you a list of 7-10 potential questions to review prior to our Meet-And-Greet Zoom call.
VIDEO INTAKE MEET-AND-GREET – ZOOM
Legacy videos are deeply personal in nature. It’s
important that you feel comfortable with the people you’ll be working with – most importantly, your interviewer. Although the interviewer will be edited out of the final video, they will guide you through the entire process on the day of your shoot. We will also review the interview questions with you during this Zoom call. You are free to delete, add or change any questions you wish. We want these questions to capture the essence of who you are and what’s most important to you. As a follow-up to this call, we will email you a final checklist which outlines what to expect on video shoot day. We also include your finalized questions as well as tips on how to best prepare.
REMOTE RECORDING TESTING – ZOOM/SWITCHER APP [REMOTE RECORDING ONLY]
If we are recording your Legacy Video remotely, we will send you a remote technology kit. This call is designed to get you comfortable with the equipment required to record remotely. We will also finalize set design, lighting and sound at this time.
VIDEO SHOOT DAY!
On your big day, we will setup equipment while your interviewer reviews your questions with you and helps you deal with any butterflies you might have. Once we complete the interview, we will get some footage of any family photos, heirlooms or other memories you’d like included in your video.
VIDEO EDITING & DELIVERY
Your video enters the editing process – we take your raw footage and add graphics, transitions, video clips and music to bring your Legacy Video to life. Your video is subject to a final creative edit before delivery to you.

In this in-depth video intake call with Erin, we gain crystal clear clarity on your target market, the goals for your video and craft a powerful Call-to-Action.
VIDEO SCRIPT & REMOTE TECH KIT SETUP – ZOOM
Your customized video template is developed and your video script is emailed to you. Your Remote Tech Kit is shipped. A tech setup Zoom call is scheduled with Vanessa to ensure that there are no tech surprises on the day of your video shoot.
PERFORMANCE COACHING – ZOOM
In your performance coaching Zoom call, you deliver your presentation to Jamie. He offers presentation tips, suggestions and helps you to pinpoint areas for additional practice – all so you’re looking your best on your big day.
VIDEO SHOOT DAY!
Jamie and Erin direct you through every take so you look and sound like a pro. Vanessa is there to ensure your big day is smooth and seamless!
